Overview

This policy explains how Yello handles information when you use our app and website.

Our core rule is simple: your voice and writing are yours. They are processed locally and are not collected by Yello for storage, analytics, advertising, or model training.

What we collect

We collect only basic account information required to provide account access:

  • Account email address
  • Basic profile details you provide (for example, display name)
  • Authentication-related account identifiers needed for login

We collect this information only to let you sign in, access your account, and keep your account secure.

What we do not collect

  • Voice recordings from your use of Yello
  • Text content you dictate or write
  • Private messages, notes, or email content
  • Advertising profiles or behavioral tracking history

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your voice or writing content to train models.

How we use account info

Account information is used only for core account operations:

  • Authenticating your login
  • Maintaining account access
  • Account-related communications (for example, security or access notices)

We do not use account information for ad targeting, data brokerage, or unrelated profiling.

Retention and deletion

We retain account information only while your account is active, or as needed to operate and secure the account.

If you request account deletion, we remove account data within a reasonable timeframe, except where limited retention is required by law.

Security

We apply reasonable safeguards to protect account information. While no system can be guaranteed 100% secure, we design our architecture to minimize risk and data exposure.

Because voice and writing stay local by design, exposure risk for that data is materially reduced.

Your choices

  • You can request access to your basic account data.
  • You can request correction of account details.
  • You can request deletion of your account.
